Colonel Von Ruesch-1744
The Husaren Regiment was commanded by Colonel von Ruesch during the War of Austrian Succession and the Seven Years War. In 1808 it was re-formed into the Leib-Husaren.
They wore a Totenkopf on their hats and black uniforms to mourn the killing of Fredrick William Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel during the Napoleonic Wars.
Fredrick the Great founded the Husaren Regiment and used the "Totenschadel" deathman's skull as it's military symbol.
They were called "Black Brunswickers" until 1918 when stormtroopers wore Death Head Badges.
In 1933 the Weimer Republic Freicorps carried on the tradition of the Kaiserreich.
Then the Stabswache led by Julius Schreck wore "God With Us" belt buckles with totenkopf made of cast-aluminum.
