The project to re-manufacture this sheath begins with a leather belt loop pattern that resembles a VZ-58 bayonet sheath.
Be careful to pay attention to which is the smooth side of the leather and which side is the rough side. In this photo below the leather piece to the right side was cut wrong side up making it backwards when going to assemble it to sheath. The leather piece on the left is the correct one for this project.
